Before joining Colorado School of Mines, Zihuai was a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley and Berkeley Lab. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Princeton University and his B.S. in Physics from the School of the Gifted Young at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
